THREE CORNERS CHRISTIAN
RECOVERY RESIDENCES, INC.
PROGRAM
Three Corners provides a
ten month, Christian based 12-step program that includes Spiritual Therapy,
Educational Therapy, Vocational Therapy, and Recreational Therapy.
Each of these components of our program is designed to create balance in an
individual’s life. The ultimate goal is to foster clearly developed habits that allow
wholesome growth in each of these areas.
Spiritual Therapy
This aspect include daily
bible study (both personal and group studies), daily devotions which helps to start
the day on a positive note, and weekly church attendance which includes Sunday bible
study and worship services and Wednesday evening bible study.
The men also attend area
gospel meetings; participate in door knocking campaigns and VBS events, and present
testimonials at various congregations targeted for support and client sponsorship.
Weekly 12-step meeting
attendance to CASA (Christians Against Substance Abuse), Narcotics Anonymous or
Alcoholics Anonymous is required. This allows for socialization with other people in
recovery and helps to build a network of people not using.
Educational Therapy
The
New Life Behavior Curriculum is a multi-course curriculum that has approximately
13 lessons in each course. It allows the man to learn about himself, his family, and
others around him.
Free GED Training is also available online for anyone that hasn’t completed high
school.
Nations University is an online college level bible training school that will
provide an avenue for increased biblical studies. We encourage our clients to enroll
into that resource once they are deemed ready.
World Video Bible School has donated several DVD’s from their huge catalogue of
resourceful topics.
Altamaha Technical College is also available in the area for on site career
training once a client is financially able and has reached a certain phase in their
recovery. We hope to have scholarships provided by our supporters at some time in the
future to help offset the cost for our clients to attend college.
Vocational Therapy
Each man is required to
have daily work assignments. This is to help the men develop good work ethics and
responsibility. This also allow for learning the concept of teamwork. These
assignments may include one or more of the following:

Recreational Therapy
This is the time in which
the men learn to have fun without the use of mood altering substances. Most substance
abusers used drugs and alcohol during times of recreation. It seems awkward at first
to do things without the use of mood altering substances. We allow our men the
opportunity to change those patterns. This may require a complete paradigm shift.
Some of the things we may
do to create recreational atmospheres include Fishing, Camping, Basketball, Bowling,
Walking or Jogging, Bicycling, Board Games, Movies, Reading, etc.
